Buffalo Elementary School is located in beautiful

We are one of four elementary schools in the Union County School District with an estimated enrollment of 450 students grades 4K - 5th.

Our school is led by principal, Stacy McAbee, and assistant principal, Mrs. Andrea Robinson. Our school counselor is Mrs. Haley Crawford.
 
BES has an all day 4K class, four 5K classes, four first-grade classes, three second-grade classes, four third-grade classes, four fourth-grade classes, and four fifth-grade classes. 

We also have three self-contained classrooms. Self-contained students are mainstreamed for science, SS, and related arts. Related arts classes include PE, adaptive PE, library, computer lab, guidance, music, and art.   BES also integrates STEAM activities and Spanish in related arts classes.

Our Reading Coach, Mrs. Katie Kingsmore, and Math Coach, Mrs. Diane DeHart, work closely with our teachers, administrators, parents and students to create solid bonds and make academic connections.

BES offers 
EMERGE classes to students that qualify in grades 3 - 5.  BES is also the proud school of the District Champions for 2024 Battle of the Books Team. 

BES is an Anti-Bullying school and participates in the OLWEUS Anti Bullying program.  Positive behavior is encouraged through our PBIS program. 

BES is a Title 1 school with 100% Highly Qualified teachers.
