Union County Schools Names Dr. Randy Worthy as Director of Union County Career and Technology Center for 2025-2026 School Year
Union County, SC — March 25, 2025 — Union County Schools is excited to announce the appointment of Dr. Randy Worthy as the new Director of the Union County Career and Technology Center (UCCTC) for the 2025-2026 school year. Dr. Worthy brings a wealth of experience to this role, including his four years of service as the Assistant Director of the Career Center in Chester County.
Dr. Worthy holds a diverse and impressive educational background, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina, a Master of Business Education from Kaplan University, a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from Liberty University, and a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from Liberty University. These academic credentials, coupled with his passion for fostering educational excellence, make him well-equipped to lead the Career and Technology Center into a bright future.
Before transitioning into education, Dr. Worthy accumulated over 20 years of business experience, providing him with a unique perspective on the skills needed for student success in the workforce. Additionally, he served for seven years in the U.S. Army Reserves as a Staff Sergeant, demonstrating his strong leadership abilities and commitment to service.
Dr. Worthy’s vision for his new role is clear: “My vision for this role is to enhance the Center's commitment to innovation and community engagement while cultivating an inclusive and dynamic learning environment.” His leadership approach will undoubtedly contribute to the continued growth and success of the Career and Technology Center, ensuring that students are equipped with the practical skills needed to excel in today’s ever-changing workforce.
