Mission Statement: The mission of the Union County Virtual Academy is to provide the students with a rigorous online learning environment that will prepare students to be college and career ready.

Vision: The UCVA believes that all students can be successful if given opportunities to learn and have meaningful communications through face-to-face and virtual interactions throughout their school experiences. The staff will continually improve and expand their knowledge of teaching practices, curriculum, and innovative technology. The school community embraces the diversity of the school population by fostering a school culture of safety, acceptance, and respect.

  1. Provide the students of Union County the opportunity to attend a virtual public school to meet our county's specific needs.

  2. Allow students to complete their schooling in an alternate environment rather than a brick-and-mortar school.

  3. Create a structured digital environment that is conducive to learning.

  4. Provide an alternative digital learning environment for students with any issues in our brick-and-mortar schools.

  5. Analyze testing data to inform our practices so that we have a direct impact on student achievement.
