Explanation of Modified School Calendar 2023-24

The first day for students to attend school will be August 1, 2023.

 The last day for students to attend school will be May 31, 2024.

 Holidays (highlighted yellow)

Students and teachers do NOT attend school. For the 2023-24 school year, these include Summer Break (June 4 - July 21), Labor Day (Sept. 4), Thanksgiving Break (Nov. 22 - 24), Winter Break (Dec. 18 - Jan. 1), MLK Jr. Holiday (Jan. 15), Spring Break (March 25 - 29), and Memorial Day (May 27).   

 Teacher Inservice/Staff Development Days (highlighted orange)

Students will NOT attend school. Teachers will receive professional development on these days. 

Intercession Days (highlighted pink)

Students and teachers do NOT attend school UNLESS they are participating in the remediation program.

Remediation Days (highlighted green)

Remediation days are 3 days built into the school year during intercession days.  Only students and teachers attend if they are participating in the remediation program.  Students will be recommended to attend remediation days and to receive extra help based on student data. 

 *Days that are NOT highlighted are REGULAR school days for students and teachers.
